On Monday, January 30, 2017, the Chapter presented a Workshop on how to write a Cover Letter with Kathleen Delong, Senior Human Resource Officer at Learning Services/Library Human Resources at UAlberta.

Skype Discussion with Mark Weiler
On October 22, 2015 the University of Alberta CAPAL Student Chapter hosted a Skype discussion with Mark Weiler, Web and User Experience Librarian at Wilfrid Laurier University. This role is relatively new to the profession, which sparked conversation and questions among attendees. Mark also previously held the position of Chair of the National CAPAL Student Committee; he discussed the benefits of becoming involved as a student, and ways in which his involvement benefited him.
